Adàmas, or "unbreakable" as the ancient Greeks called them, diamonds are a rare miracle occurring deep within the earth that man has for centuries labored to mine, cut and polish. Only in the last 100 years has man been able to properly reveal the elusive and captivating beauty that is concealed inside the hardest natural material known.
When we look at a diamond, we are looking at a finished work of art that began it's life as a rather ordinary looking, somewhat clear crystal. The diamond cutter is the artist who takes a piece of rough diamond, studies it, and uses his skill to cut away at the diamond until nothing but pure beauty is left for us to see. As a sculptor will chisel away at a block of marble until a masterpiece is left, so does the diamond cutter with his tools.
When you are shopping for a diamond, you are choosing a work of art of which there is not another one exactly like it on earth. If you were to line up 100 round diamonds exactly the same weight of perfect color and perfect clarity, there will be to everyone, one that is the most beautiful. This.. is how we buy diamonds.
Several times a year, Joel David travels to Antwerp Belgium in search of the world's most beautiful diamonds. We are able to hand pick our diamonds from the finest diamond cutters in the world before they hit the world markets. This gives you the opportunity to own one of the world's most beautiful diamonds. |
