Custom Design, Made in Tulsa

Some pieces begin with a sketch.
Ours begin with a story.

Come and tell us what it has to mean. That conversation is where every piece here starts.

At J. David Jewelry we design and make custom jewelry in our own workshops, for guests at our three Tulsa showrooms in Broken Arrow, South Tulsa and Brookside. A custom ring takes three to five weeks from first sketch to finished piece, and you approve the design before anything is cast.

Rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets — drawn, modeled, cast and finished across four stages by five master jewelers, in our own three Tulsa studios. Made here, and made to be handed down.

A promise finally ready to be put into gold. A shape you keep coming back to. A diamond with sixty years of family in it. Whatever you walk in with, you walk out with something no one else will ever wear.

The Four Stages

From First Vision to Finished Piece.

Three to five weeks on average, from the first consultation to the finished piece.

Step One

An Idea Takes Shape

We begin with a quiet conversation and a first vision — the detail that makes it yours. Bring a saved photo, a sketch on a napkin, or nothing but the story itself.

Step Two

Precision in Detail

Advanced CAD modeling tunes every angle for maximum brilliance and a comfortable, daily-wear fit. You see and approve the render before anything is cast.

Step Three

Brought Into Form

A wax prototype is hand-finished so you can feel the proportion before a single diamond is set. This is where a design stops being a picture.

An Heirloom, Complete

Cast, hand-set and polished to the design — ready to wear, ready to be worn forever, and made to come back to us for care across a lifetime.

From the Design Bench

Nobody says yes to a description.

Renders, not photographs — the first time the piece shows you its face, and the moment you can still change your mind. Nothing is cast until you have said yes.

Heirloom Redesign

Heirloom, Reimagined.

The diamond has already been in the family for sixty years. The setting doesn’t have to stay in the drawer with it. Bring us the pieces that hold your history — an inherited diamond, a grandmother’s gold — and we’ll design them into something you’ll actually wear: the meaning preserved, the style yours.

Good Questions

How long does a custom piece take?

A custom engagement ring at J. David takes three to five weeks on average, from the first consultation to the finished, polished piece. Rush timelines are sometimes possible — ask during your consultation.

Is custom more expensive than ready-made?

Not necessarily. Because you control the diamond, the metal and the details, a custom piece can be designed to any budget. You pay for exactly what you want rather than for inventory.

Can you design from an heirloom?

Yes. Many families bring in inherited diamonds or gold, and our team redesigns them into a new piece — preserving the meaning while updating the style.

Your story is the sketch.

Katelyn helped me resize and refresh my wedding ring. She was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly sweet. She made the experience easy and enjoyable, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend asking for Katelyn

Had a fantastic experience at J David! Bought an engagement ring last year and a wedding band this year. Maelei and Susan were especially super helpful and patient with us and found us the perfect matches!

One big request I had for Hayley was to make sure any leftover gold from the ring was returned to me. Not only did she make sure I got the gold, but Scott even turned it into a small pendant!
